Understand your options

Choose the service that fits your situation

DIFC Courts Wills Service

A recognised route for eligible non-Muslim testators aged 18 or older with relevant UAE assets and/or eligible guardianship arrangements; the registry determines eligibility.

Business Owners Will

An eligible DIFC Courts Business Owners Will may cover relevant UAE company shareholdings, including qualifying RAK ICC interests, subject to the service's conditions.

Other UAE succession routes

Other processes and legal frameworks can apply, including for Muslim individuals or estates outside the DIFC Wills Service criteria. Seek tailored advice from a qualified lawyer.

How it works

Simple steps, with requirements checked first

01

Identify assets and beneficiaries

Outline UAE properties, banking and company interests and whether the will needs to address children, guardians or specific beneficiaries.

02

Confirm eligibility and drafting needs

Determine the appropriate registry and Will type, then involve an eligible legal drafting professional when legal advice or drafting is required.

03

Register through the official service

Follow the authorised registry's identification, review, signing, fee and registration requirements. Registration is performed by the official service.

Questions before you proceed

Frequently asked questions

Who can register a DIFC Courts Will?

The DIFC Courts Wills Service specifies eligibility criteria for non-Muslim individuals aged 18 or over with the relevant UAE assets and/or minor children in the UAE. Personal circumstances should be checked against current rules.

Must I live in Dubai to register a DIFC Will?

DIFC Courts guidance states that UAE residency is not necessarily required for eligible people who own relevant UAE assets or meet the service's guardianship conditions. Remote procedures may be available.

Can a will cover my RAK ICC shares?

The DIFC Courts Business Owners Will service expressly discusses eligible free-zone and UAE company shares, including RAK ICC registered companies, but restrictions on type and number of shareholdings apply.

Is a DIFC Will suitable for a Muslim testator?

The DIFC Courts Wills Service is specifically for eligible non-Muslims. A Muslim testator should obtain specialist advice about the applicable UAE succession and inheritance framework.

Is CSPzone the official wills registry or a law firm?

No. We provide independent guidance and service coordination and can refer clients to qualified lawyers or authorised drafting professionals where required. Official registries handle registration.

DIFC Wills Service eligibility is limited; CSPzone is not the registry or a law firm. Succession, guardianship, inheritance and cross-border arrangements require individual legal advice and official registration.
